World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day 2014 took place on the 4th February this year.

This day raises awareness for anyone affected by cancer and works towards eradicating cancer myths, the first one being “We don’t need to talk about cancer”, please see the link below for further information:

Talking about cancer can be difficult for patients, family members and friends.  Here at the Cancer Support Centre we can provide a safe place to discuss any fears or concerns about cancer, its treatment and effects.  Providing a drop in service Monday to Friday and run by health care professionals ~ we can provide support, advice and information to anyone affected.  We also provide a range of services to support anyone at this difficult time, including Welfare Advice and courses designed to help patients and carers’ cope.
