We offer a holistic range of services, practical and emotional, run by healthcare professionals to support anyone affected by cancer; patient, family or friend.

Our drop-in service is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, no appointment necessary.

The NGS Macmillan Unit at Chesterfield Royal

The NGS Macmillan Unit provides treatment and care and support for people with cancer in North Derbyshire.

Nenna Kind Cancer Support Drop in Centre

Provides complementary therapies including; Shiatsu, reflexology, and healing. All free of charge by qualified and accredited practitioners. Computers for research and access to support groups e.g. Macmillan benefits advice.  Also run a twice daily hospital bus service Monday to Friday to Weston Park Hospital for cancer patients and their escorts

Challenge Cancer Through Adventure

Challenge Cancer Through Adventure is a Peak District based charity run entirely by volunteers. They help people who are based in the region who are living with cancer or a life threatening illness to change their outlook, rebuild confidence and regain control of their lives by undertaking an outdoor adventure challenge.

Chesterfield Bossom Buddies

A group of approx 20 ladies affected by breast cancer They have a programme of speakers, some medical and others of general interest.  The group is open to females only and is a source of general information and support.

Age Concern

Working together for older people.  Provides information, advocacy and a telephone befriending scheme care line.

The Bolsover Befriending Scheme

The Bolsover Befriending Scheme is a befriending scheme for adults of all ages in the Bolsover area. Whether it is making new friends, help with using public transport, assistance with using the computer,  attending an art gallery, or visiting a new social group or leisure class – or even just companionship.

Chesterfield Foodbank

Provides emergency food and support to local people. In many cases, you will need a third-party who is already supporting you (such as a GP, Social Worker, or tenancy support worker) to make arrangements on your behalf to access a food bank.
