Supportive Care

The Support Centre provides 15 places where guests with cancer can come on a weekly basis.  The benefits our guests receive help them come to terms with their illness, and their weekly visits to us also provides their carers with time to themselves.

The Support Centre is open from Monday to Friday each week from 10 am to 3 pm.   The Support Centre is nurse-led (no doctors on site) and can provide first aid.  In the event of a medical emergency, supportive treatment will be given and a 999 call made fo paramedic assistance.

We provide free transport in the form of a minibus or taxi, and guests are collected and returned to their homes.

Guests are provided with a freshly cooked 3-course meal for a small donation, and special dietary needs are catered for.  Tea, coffee and soft drinks are provided throughout the day.

The Support Centre aims to provide physical, psychological, spiritual and social care in a friendly, relaxed and caring atmosphere.  Services include:

  • Nursing care
