“Cut the Ribbon” Event
Re-launch event on 6th November to celebrate completion of the refurbishment, new logo and website.
Please see below a few photos of our successful “Cut the Ribbon” event, it was a brilliant evening and enjoyed by all.
We were joined by a large number of people who support the Centre ~ including our own staff, Trustees and volunteers, along with other healthcare professionals, staff and Trustees from Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity (who fund 60% of our work) and people who have used the Centre previously.
We were also joined by a number of people who helped with the refurbishment in various ways and without their help and contribution we would not have been able to successfully complete the project.
- Braithwell Wheelbarrow Team – raised £6,000 by completing the Coast to Coast cycle ride.
- Westfield Health – funded the majority of the refurbishment with a very generous donation of £29,900.
- TPS Projects – builders who worked hard on the refurbishment, allowing us to stay open during the work.
- Studio Polpo – architect Mark Parsons who worked hard to design the project.
- New Leaf Decorating – decorator Nick Grindrod, who again has worked hard and allowed us to stay open during the redecorating.
We are also very grateful to Paulette Edwards from BBC Radio Sheffield for joining us to “Cut the Ribbon”!
